The manual ships inside the app
Over a hundred help topics are in the Core itself, next to the surfaces they describe, and they are the same corpus this site was written from. What belongs here is the part you need before you have installed anything.
Getting started
Not written yet
A public version of the path through a book: open a portfolio, add the ePub and the audiobook, run the alignment, approve the roster, read it with the narration, ask it something.
Needs: The in-app getting-started topic republished for the web, or a decision to link into a hosted copy of the help corpus.
Per-product guides
Not written yet
One entry point per product, mirroring the in-app guides for Loomwright, VisualBook, LitCaster and LookBook.
Needs: A decision on whether the help corpus is published publicly at all — it currently ships only inside the app, and some topics assume an entitlement the reader may not have.
Changelog
One file per release, one section per product. Release 1.0.0 is the current one.
Not written yet
The release notes are already written and maintained in the product repository; this page should render them rather than restate them.
Needs: A build step that renders docs/release-notes/*.md into this page, so the changelog cannot drift from the release that produced it.
Known issues
Stated here because they are true
- No Windows build is published; it is blocked on a build host and a code-signing certificate.
- The macOS build is unsigned and un-notarized, so it is not offered.
- Long-running work — a training submission in particular — holds its request while it runs.
- Per-user seats are enforced for LitCaster only.
